TIMBER FLOORS FAQ

What are the advantages of Engineered Wood Flooring?

Quality & Appearance
It looks like real wood and is very difficult to distinguish between the two. High-quality materials are used.

Cost
Depending on the type of wood it can often be cheaper than solid hardwood.

Expansion
It doesn’t expand and contract to the same extent as solid hardwood. Making it compatible with underfloor heating.

Installation
Quick and easy to install with a click fitting system.

What are the main differences between Vinyl and Laminate Flooring?

Resistance to Water
Vinyl is 100% synthetic and waterproof, so it can be used anywhere in the home. Laminate flooring is made up of wood by-products and should not be exposed to water.

Comfort
Vinyl flooring comes in planks or tiles with an overall thickness ranging from 1.5mm for sheet vinyl to 5mm for luxury planks. The overall thickness for laminate flooring planks ranges from 6mm to 12mm.
Therefore, when comparing for comfort laminate is the winner.

Vinyl & Laminate are durable, economical, easy to install and almost incomparable in appearance.
